Winter is coming, make sure you're ready!

It’s that time of the year again. The temperature is dropping and it's getting dark by 5 pm. While you're thinking about switching from regular all-season tires to snow tires, why not inspect your brakes? The last thing you want to have to worry about is driving on an icy road and your vehicle not stopping when it matters the most. Since you’ve got the car up to change your tires it’s the best time to service your brakes as well and get it all done at the same time.

Check Your Brakes
Ask your mechanic to take a look at following components:

  • Brake Pads
  • Brake Calipers
  • Wheel Bearings
  • Parking Brake Shoes
  • Hoses
  • Wheel Cylinders

  • It’s a good idea to have your brakes inspected at least once a year even if you don’t drive that much. Rust can build up and be detrimental to your braking experience causing all sorts of noise and other issues you’ll want to avoid. To help with this we recommend our Anti-Rust Coated Rotors which won’t rust on the hub and can save you time and headaches. You can shop our brake kits with anti-rust coated rotors here
